Evan and Andy didn’t learn their lessons the first time.
I didn’t appreciate the first two scenes of the book being a dream but I’ll move on from that.
Evan gets bullied a lot but is helped when Andy arrives. Her parents are living overseas for a year (and forget bringing their kid) and she just so happens to have an aunt who lives in the same school district as Evan…anyway…she brings monster blood with her.
Evan decides to feed the class hamster monster blood so people would believe it was real (not sure why it still works but ok), also BAD IDEA!
Cuddles the hamster turns into an elephant-sized hamster. Evan eats monster blood and fights Cuddles (ok, that’s just weird). Finally, he blacks out and wakes up normal sized along with Cuddles…the monster blood expired…convent…Andy’s parents bought her some more from Europe…why is this stuff so popular?
This is the first sequel of the Goosebumps series and the logic behind it is just dumb. I’m not a fan of the monster blood series but kids would love it.
2 out of 5 stars.
