Barking Ghost Review *31 Days of Goosebumps”

31 days of Goosebumps 2017! I wasn’t sure if I was going to do this again this year but I decided I had fun last year and should give it another go.

Barking ghost is a story of Cooper Holmes and Fergie. Two twelve-year-old friends who met after Cooper moves to Boston (A lot of Goosebump books start with kids moving to a new home).

Together, they find two dogs who lead them to an old shed in the woods. After being pushed into a hole they discover they switched bodies with the dogs. The dogs were possessed by ghosts who wanted human bodies.

Finally, they get their fake selves back to the shed and they fall in the hole. After they come to they see both the dogs and themselves walk away without them. Turns out the kids swapped with chipmunks and were stuck as chipmunks forever.

“Barking Ghost” was strange. The plot was sorta the same as “Ghost Beach” and “My Hairiest Adventure” but I loved the sad ending. Sad endings are always scarier for me. I give this a 3 out of 5 stars. Nothing special.
